When The Monster Offers You Its Hand You Understandably Stab It
May 27, 2008
Personal artwork

There once was a monster who lived in solitude, isolated from the general populus. Not one to associate with humans often, he would only glimpse at those who walked by the cave.

One day, after seeing a particular girl walk by the cave, he decided to walk out and attempt to converse. He put out his hand as a friendly gesture, though not having been much of a talker prior, the monster could only bellow and screech. The girl, frightened, took a knife concealed on her person (unbeknownst to the monster) and plunged it into his hand, and then ran off.

The monster simply stood there, with the knife painfully lodged in his hand.

One emotion impedes another. This can be considered the counterpart to my former piece, "My Own Joy Is But A Mask."

Funny, how while technology is vastly superior, it's hindered by it's own inferiority.

Butterfly Wings/kylePOINT Creations Magazine Cover
January 13, 2008
Personal artwork

The butterfly design was originally supposed to be a simple line design, an abstracted form. But just a simple line seemed too boring. I played around with colour, some blur and airbrushing effects, and the end result turned out quite nice. Even the multiple blurs seem to mimic (abstracted) butterfly wings flapping.

The magazine cover mock-up was simply another experiment with text, layout, and more commercial design. It would also be nice to have my own magazine, but I wouldn't be nearly productive enough to have so much new material for it per month. Ah well.

It's a profitable planet. Power to the people on it. That is, should they be able to process their own power.
